My wife Laurie and I came to love First Lutheran Church and quickly called it our spiritual home-away-from-home. From the start, there was such a warm welcome and open-armed graciousness that we were honored with during our worship. It was an experience of how nice it is to be received and liked— a gift from God given with the opportunity to establish a true blessing of a new life in Warren.
We found First Lutheran as an engaging, inclusive and receptive sanctuary where the expression of Christian ministry is shown through the Pastoral leadership, the message of compassion, and the community fellowship that our congregants so sincerely share. It is within these measures that one can find the wonder and reward of serving others in Christ.
So too, singing praises to our Lord with joy and enthusiasm as part of the choir resonates our soul with an intimacy of being part of a group. All the members of the choir have allowed Laurie and I to feel loved and appreciated. Under Jack’s guidance, we sang and laughed and enjoyed those moments when harmony came together and we sounded as one.
